What do you need to know?

First off, you should understand that gays, and lesbians for that matter, are not an abnormality or an abomination, but a simple biological ramification. Instead of being attracted to people of a different sex, homosexuals are physically and sexually attracted to same-sex people. Nothing simpler.

Across history, a lot of cases of homosexuality have been documented, some of them even illustrious men and women with great contributions on the development of culture and science. Obviously, this has no bearing on the matter, but it goes to show that homosexuality didn’t just appear out of thin air with no explanation, and that homosexuals can also bring about change and have beneficial influences. Even in the animal kingdom, there are certain individuals of some species that are homosexual, and in their case, the “socio-cultural” factor has little to say.

A dirty game…

This subject is a controversial one in these days, with all the back and forth debates about sexuality, sexual fluidity and talks about homosexuality. The truth is that a lot of people are shocked and horrified to the point of fainting when presented with the idea of men fucking other men up the ass. It’s just like they were the ones being sodomized. Obviously, there are a lot of stereotypies and negative perceptions regarding gays being thrown all over the place, each more exaggerated and stupid than the last.

What happens when a certain idea goes against the social norm, or what is believed to be the norm? Simple, it’s surrounded by suspicion, people blame it and try to ridicule it, throw it in a pit of mud. The sexual orientation of an individual is not a conscious choice, and the studies show that homosexuality is not a psychopathological phenomenon.

In other words, you can’t say that a gay person has psychological problems, that he or she is nuts, retarded or otherwise mentally unstable, unless you are retarded as well.

You might prefer the taste of pussy or you might like having a cock up your ass, as a man. This is dependent on your genetic material, on the biological predisposition. There are other factors involved, but this is the main one. And, obviously, you can’t choose nor control your own biology.

This is precisely the problem that a lot of people don’t understand or refuse to understand. Is it that hard to take a step back and use your brain a little? No, it’s not. And even if that were the situation, instead of mocking a social category for stupid reasons, with idiotic arguments, you’d better read a book or search the internet. The information that would be enlightening at the least.

It is this “dirty game” that I am talking about, the fact that there are certain ignorant and stupid preconceptions related to gays, lesbians, homosexual people in general. It should not come as a surprise that a lot of people are simply grossed out and their hairs stand straight at the thought of people shoving dicks up their ass. However, just because you have a different sexual orientation doesn’t mean that you should be isolated from the rest of society and publicly mocked.

Behavioral deviance?

Another argument that’s been appearing a lot in the discussions about gay people is that they pose a risk to society. Ideas like “How could homosexuals walk freely on the streets? You don’t have the courage to let your kid alone outside.”

Good, now we won’t beat around the bush and we’ll just say that this idea is plain stupid and idiotic, showing that many people don’t even know what a homosexual is. Gays and lesbians are attracted to people of the same sex, they “commit the sin” of having sex with each other, but here’s the thing. They do it willingly, with consent, being mature people who can make an educated choice.

Practically, the previous question can be rephrased like this: “How could heterosexuals walk freely on the streets? You don’t have the courage to let your kid alone outside.” Yeah, we just change the terms because the structure remains the same. If we don’t generalize in our case, why the fuck would we generalize in theirs?

Pedophilia and the other deviant behaviors that represent a risk toward society (zoophilia, necrophilia, rape) are totally different from homosexuality. The difference is in the presence and the lack of consent, mainly, where rape or pedophilia are concerned. A gay is attracted to a little child in the same degree that a heterosexual is. The same goes for rape. There are no studies showing that homosexuals are more predisposed to pedophilia or rape.

So, what we need to remember is that a homosexual is not inherently a pedophiliac or a molester, but he is attracted to people of the same sex, just as we are attracted to those of the opposite sex. Just as heterosexuality, homosexuality is a sexual orientation, a normal one.

How do you become gay?

Contrary to the general opinion, you don’t just turn into a gay spontaneously just because you’re fantasizing about having a cock up your ass or if you see two men kissing on the street. Nothing happens, you don’t get “infected” by some homosexual strain or virus. You have a reaction, and it can be one of indifference, aggressiveness or disgust.

So don’t worry if your kid witnesses such a scene by accident. He won’t just become gay and change his sexual orientation just because of that. He can’t do that. At the most, he’s going to be surprised and he’s going to ask you what is the deal with that. And you, as a steady-minded person, are going to calmly explain it to him, without appealing to preconceptions and caveman insults.

The peer-reviewed studies show that sexual orientation has a biological basis, mainly. The genetic inheritance, the hormones, different hereditary factors act together and eventually determine our orientation. Either we like pussy, dick, or both.

So, most probably, our sexual orientation is written in the genetic make-up ever since birth, or at least the predisposition toward a certain orientation. And the rest of the factors, cultural, environmental ones, just finish the process.

The conclusion

A homosexual person can be blamed, punished and criticized for many things, but not just because he is a gay or a lesbian. Sure, if they pose a risk toward society and its inhabitants, if they are violent or manifest any deviant behaviors, then it’s entirely different. But, just as you don’t blame a heterosexual for having that sexual orientation, you don’t do it with homosexuals either.
